South Jakarta Braced for Potential Heavy Rain Today

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast a mix of cloudy skies and moderate-intensity rainfall across Jakarta today.

Today's temperatures are projected to range between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius

"Rain in the morning," stated the official BMKG website,  Monday (12/29).

By the noon, the weather is expected to turn cloudy over Seribu Islands. However, light rain is predicted to persist in Central, North, West, and East Jakarta, while South Jakarta is set to be dampened by moderate-intensity rainfall.

BMKG Issues Early Warning for Strong Winds in Jakarta Waters

Later in the afternoon, light showers will continue to affect several areas, including Seribu Islands, Central, West, and East Jakarta. In contrast, cloudy is expected to return to North and South Jakarta.

Moving into the evening, BMKG anticipates overcast skies blanketing the entirety of Jakarta, spanning Seribu Islands, Central, North, West, South, and East Jakarta.

Today's temperatures are projected to range between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels hovering between 67 and 91 per cent.
